Guests from Kaliningrad

From 27 to 30 June 2010 delegates from the Law Faculty at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kaliningrad paid a working visit to the Higher Police School in Szczytno. The aim was to learn about the Polish system of police education.

The guests had a possibility to find out how the School functions, they visited its facilities and had meetings with the management and personnel of the School.

They also visited the city of Olsztyn and the Regional Police Headquarters.

 
Turkish delegates in the Higher Police School

Under the Erasmus programme and constant development of partner cooperation, the delegates of the Police Academy in Ankara paid a preparatory visit to the Higher Police School in Szczytno. Both institutions signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in March 2010 which relates to the “Mobility – higher education institutions” activities. Therefore, the guests from Turkey, while their stay in the Academy of National Defence in Warsaw, came to Szczytno in order to get acquainted with the training system of police officers in the School as well.

 
The Higher Police School students study abroad

The Erasmus scholarship holders from the Higher Police School will study in Great Britain, France, Germany, Turkey and in Hungary

Thanks to the Union’s programme Erasmus, which makes it possible for students to have their traineeship and to study abroad, a group of students from the Higher Police School in Szczytno will go to Great Britain, France, Germany, Turkey and Hungary at the beginning of the new 2010/2011 academic year.

 
Foundation stone ceremony

In the building site of a modern teaching complex a symbolic foundation stone was set on 27 May 2010. It is commemorates the beginning of the biggest investment in the Polish Police: “Building and fitting out the Police Educational and Research Centre for strengthening the national security”.

 
Electronic payment instrument abuse

From 19 to 21 May 2010 the 9th International Scientific Conference on „Electronic payment instrument abuse” was organized by the Higher Police School together with the VISA Europe and the Europol. The main aim of bringing together experts who deal with the issue was presenting and discussing the latest trends concerning this type of crime, particularly with illegal use of payment cards.
